I have an old PC running windows 98SE at home. I wanted to backup some files using a flash drive. I downloaded a the driver from this site:
http://www.technical-assistance.co.uk/kb/win98se-usb-mass-storage-drivers.php
The file was named nusb33e.exe
I followed the instruction which were very simple and rebooted the PC. I got a blue screen with fatel exeption 0E has occured at 0187:BFF9E0FB

I tried safe mode and it doesn't work.

HELP!!

Are you using the English version of Windows, as these USB drivers are only intended for the English version. People have reported similar problems with installing the USB drivers on the Hebrew version of Windows 98.

I think your best option is to reinstall Windows over the top of the original installation (same directory). This should fix Windows and leave your programs and data intact.

Guess what - I'm running hebrew enabled Win98SE Crying or Very sad

I read the instructions on the link you provided and also searched the web for instructions of how to reinstall without loosing the data. I didn't find good instructions.
Can you please refer me to a location with the instructions or provide some hints?

Thanks a lot
Gil

Put the Windows CD in the drive, and the boot floppy (not required if your PC will boot from CD). Follow the on screen instructions to install Windows, only make sure that you set the folder to install to, to c:\windows\ - be careful as it might add .000 on the end, in which case delete this.
