[My pc keeps crashing to blue screen and the Microsoft error message tells me that this is caused by SIGMATEL HIGH DEFINITION AUDIO CODEC.
Can anyone tell me what this means and how I can rectify the problem, :(

I would recommend reinstalling the soundcard drivers. Do you know what soundcard you have?

It may help if you can provide the full error message.

Thankyou for your reply. I do not know which soundcard drivers are installed. My computer is a Dell Dimension 5150 system and all drivers etc were installed by them prior to delivery.Do you mean the full blue screen message or the error message recieved from microsoft?

Both messages would be useful. The blue screen one may have lots of numbers and things, it is just really the first part we need.
