i have tried to install ArcGIS 9.2 on my new PC with Windows 7 but it is not working as I can not start the licence manager.

I tried the installation with my provided licence file and when I wanna start the Licence server in the LMTOOLS I get the message "licence server not found"!

Anybody any clou how I can make it work on Windows 7? help please

for an initial problem, you are trying to run server software from a desktop OS. I don't know the software, but its probably going to be incompatible with being run from a client OS

If you want to run this software, then take your question to where it belongs: the ARCGis support site at http://support.esri.com/en/
If you want help with specific software, ASK THE SOFTWARE SUPPLIER FIRST

looking at this a bit further the online help files for this program ONLY mention using it with Windows 2000/XP/server 2003. Nothing newer

It looks like if you want to use it with a later version of Windows you are going to have to purchase ArcGIS 10, which appears to be a total rewrite
However you need to check with the publishers, esri, first to be certain

as I said before, when faced with problems with a rare/specialist piece of software, the first point of contact should always be the originator of the software
