Hi willsbon, welcome to the forums.
I'm not sure I fully understand the issue here. You say that your data has become corrupted. Are you seeking help to access that data? If so, then you will probably need to look at specialist software to do this, or even look at companies that specialise in data recovery. I doubt everything has been lost, however it may require a professional to retrieve what is possible to retrieve. _________________ "Microsoft programs are generally bug-free. trying to interpret what he says, I believe the USB drive is faulty.
I have seen drives fail in a simialr way and have never managed to get data off them, though there are programs which supposedly can
I've tried many, and never got them to work on a faulty USB drive so am loathe to recommend any
However if you google for USB +drive +recovery you will find many |

thanks Jons and U too Softag the thing here is that im working here in a cybercafé am 4 month old in this service as a cybercafé attendant and sincce i came in contact with usb flashes. is true that i have use the computer a little longer all i use to know was came read and send mails but now am am helping those who are coming to do that, and am trying to do just more than that like coming here and saking for help. and am very glag to see u respond because i have been on others side but no one has ever responded to my questions so the the thing is that people us to come to the net sometime to send doc in their usb flash keys, and somany time i have had this problem of corrupt dada and this time is my on usb flash that is doing that, is not the dada that was inside that i want to recover but how to prevent it from doing so Jons just as u said i believe my USB drive is faulty so what do i do can it be repair? or may be some sort of anti-virus for flash,i dont know....... how can i fix this faulty usbdrive, how cant i prevent it from damaging my dada? _________________ am williams and i live in south cameroon i konw practicaly noting about computer may be i can manipulate and come to side like this one but still very much behind, dont know if i can gain any thing here for am poor and does not have access to the net but for the little time i have i will come and lean something. |

nothing you can do
If its faulty it will not work
throw it away and purchase another
on a different matter, this piece of software will help protect you againt viruses carried by your customers pen drives
put it on all the computers in your cafe. It will make your systems safer

something to think on
I use a lot of pen drives for carrying data and programs during my job
I consider myself lucky if I get more than three months use out of a pen drive before it fails
the most reliable ones I've found have been "Kingston" branded, but that could be just pure chance
you HAVE to treat them as short-lived disposable items |

yes u are right dear, there is no other brand that is more reliable than that of kingston mark may be there may be another but that is the one i trust now. u know this TRANSCEND mark of pen drive is now every where in my country and a lot of people are using it and its doing alot of damage too, i work in a cyber cafe and there is always a problem when someone comes with it either the dada is corupted or the drive will not open and the funiest in it is that they will always expect me to fix it immediately. and all this product are from china. _________________ am williams and i live in south cameroon i konw practicaly noting about computer may be i can manipulate and come to side like this one but still very much behind, dont know if i can gain any thing here for am poor and does not have access to the net but for the little time i have i will come and lean something. |

As with many things, you get what you pay for. Known brands like Kingston will give better life, it depends what you need them for and how important reliability is to you. _________________ "Microsoft programs are generally bug-free.
