Hi willsbon, welcome to the forums.

I'm not sure I fully understand the issue here. You say that your data has become corrupted. Are you seeking help to access that data? If so, then you will probably need to look at specialist software to do this, or even look at companies that specialise in data recovery. I doubt everything has been lost, however it may require a professional to retrieve what is possible to retrieve.

trying to interpret what he says, I believe the USB drive is faulty.
I have seen drives fail in a simialr way and have never managed to get data off them, though there are programs which supposedly can
I've tried many, and never got them to work on a faulty USB drive so am loathe to recommend any
However if you google for USB +drive +recovery you will find many

nothing you can do
If its faulty it will not work
throw it away and purchase another

on a different matter, this piece of software will help protect you againt viruses carried by your customers pen drives
put it on all the computers in your cafe. It will make your systems safer

something to think on
I use a lot of pen drives for carrying data and programs during my job
I consider myself lucky if I get more than three months use out of a pen drive before it fails
the most reliable ones I've found have been "Kingston" branded, but that could be just pure chance

you HAVE to treat them as short-lived disposable items

yes u are right dear, there is no other brand that is more reliable than that of kingston mark may be there may be another but that is the one i trust now. u know this TRANSCEND mark of pen drive is now every where in my country and a lot of people are using it and its doing alot of damage too, i work in a cyber cafe and there is always a problem when someone comes with it either the dada is corupted or the drive will not open and the funiest in it is that they will always expect me to fix it immediately. and all this product are from china.

As with many things, you get what you pay for. Known brands like Kingston will give better life, it depends what you need them for and how important reliability is to you.
