Hey guys, just another quick question for ya's! Is it possible to check your download speed while connected to the internet with Windows XP (home edition)? I know our old windows allowed this, but havent been able to find out with the XP. we have had problems with our new connection, ADSL2+, so would like to check.........

THANK YOU!! Wink

Checkout the link in this thread to check your actual download speed.

I am jealous you have ADSL2+ - however don't expect 24Mbps that some ISPs seem to promise. This is just a theoretical maximum. BT are moving to ADSL2+ towards the end of this year, and in their lab tests they didn't manage to achieve anything above about 17Mbps - and that assumes your house doubles up as a BT exchange! About 25% of people can expect 11Mbps+ A few people will actually have slower speeds than the current ADSL Max (up to 8Mbps).
