A bought a game recently and it turns out I need to update my video/display/graphics driver (something like that )
My main driver is a ati2dvag.dll
the device is a Raedon X300 SE 128mb Hyper memory
chip type is Raedon x300/x500 series (0x5B60)
Basically I'm wondering do I just need to uninstall the ATI Display Driver and install this http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownloa...0&lang=English
or something completely different.
And btw when looking for the new software I chose the x550 option rather than the x300 option, was this the correct thing to do?
thanks in advance |

Hi Dman17, welcome to the forums.
You will need to select X300 and download the drivers, then install them. That should do the trick. _________________ "Microsoft programs are generally bug-free. Thanks softstag
I was informed that I need to uninstall the old video driver first to avoid clashing.
is the ATI Display Driver the thing I need to uninstal? |

You shouldn't need to uninstall the old drivers first, however if you do need to, then remove the ATI Display Drivers from Add/Remove Programs. _________________ "Microsoft programs are generally bug-free.
