Hi, i want to try Kubuntu Lunix 7.10 and have it installed with my current OS Windows XP, so when i boot up i have the option to choose which one to use, dual booting?
Can this be done with out uninstalling Windows, i have a 320GB Sata hard drive.
I've gathered so far that i will need a partitioning program to free up the unused disk space first to create a seperate partition, free if possible.

WINDOWS XP
SEMPRON 3200+
1GB RAM
320GB HD
DVD-RW
FORD FOCUS, 2002, BLUE, GOOD CONDITION Laughing

When you install Linux, you should be able to set the boot loader to dual boot with Windows XP. This way you will not need to reinstall XP. However I would recommend backing up any important data before attempting this, just in case...
