Firefox has had for a while, well since version 3.6 a tab thumbnail preview just like the Alt+Tab command in Vista and Windows 7.

This feature for whatever reason is disabled by default but is easy enough to enable.

Type about:config in Firefox's addressbar and press Enter.

Click on the I'll be careful, I promise button.
In the Filter box type ctrlTab and you should see a Boolean key called browser.ctrlTab.previews.

Double click on this key to switch it from False to True.

Close the about:config page.
Now when you have a few tabs open press the Ctrl and Tab keys at the same time to see the thumbnail previews of your open tabs.

You may need to restart Firefox but shouldnt.
