Hi

Can anyone please help me?????

I have a Sony Vaio VGN-NR21J and every home made dvd I put in the machine it is deleting the contents of and it is driving me nuts, I cannot seem to figure out what is happening. Has anyone heard of this before and if they have is there a solution before I throw it out the damned window Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Twisted Evil

Many thanks for any replies

deleting? or simply not reading?

what sort of DVD disks are you using? -R / +R / -RW / +RW or -RAM?
dual layer or single?
just one brand or several?

Hi Jon

Its DVD+ I use and have used since I got the laptop with no problems, I thought it was someone gave me a cheap make of disc but then I used one of my Sony ones I burned a couple of years ago and it done the same to that one. I thought the films was gone because it was going to let me "prepare the disc" and it said it had the whole 4.7gb free on it, but, on trying to put the same disc in my DVD player the film is still there so it must be the laptop not reading the disc. Any suggestions??
