i have an HP PAVILLION laptop.my daughter has been using it. she said she went to turn it on and it wont power up.

when switched on via mains the blue light at plug lights up to say its on.
also blue wifi light comes on when i go to switch it on but nothing else happens.

ive removed battery no change
ive removed memory as advised to see if it reset no change

any help before i either have to bin it or take it to repair centre would be gratefully recieved.

Does the laptop make any noises when you try to turn it on (fans etc.)?

If it is the same when you have the battery removed, then it sounds like there is a hardware fault and it will need to be looked at.
