loads of pc problems :(

Hey all, ive been having alot of problems with my pc since having a virus, the virus came up in my avg as- may have unknown virus exploit.JPEG, i put that into the vault and did a spyware scan and since then ive had loads of issue's Sad so here they all are lol thanks for any help you maybe able to offer Smile

1- world of warcraft ( game) keeps getting critical error's, ive re installed it twice and rang up the support line but still it does it

2- pc is really slow alot of the time and also seems to bleep

3- trying to install a external hard drive and my pc wont seem to pick it up, i was planning to put all my music and pictures on it to try clear my pc, i dont know the name of the hard drive either so that makes it harder Sad

these 3 are just the main one's i need urgent help with Smile the other issue's are not too important or major so i wont list them for now lol i was going to try re boot my pc, but i have 6 years worth of important things on here and i really dont want to loose them, which is why i was trying to use the external hard drive, but its not picking it up Sad

It sounds like you still have a virus or something on your system. You should post a hijackthis log so that Softstag can check it out.

Please try the following:

Arrow Restart the computer in Safe Mode
Arrow From Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel uninstall Registry Helper
Arrow Run HijackThis, check the following entries and click Fix
Exclamation Arrow O4 - Startup: PowerReg Scheduler.exe
Exclamation Arrow O23 - Service: PC Tools Auxiliary Service (sdAuxService) - Unknown owner - C:\Program Files\techguys\sscommon\common\snapins\toolkit_techguys\bin\sdscanner\pctsauxs.exe (file missing)
Exclamation Arrow O23 - Service: PC Tools Security Service (sdCoreService) - Unknown owner - C:\Program Files\techguys\sscommon\common\snapins\toolkit_techguys\bin\sdscanner\pctssvc.exe (file missing)
Arrow Restart the computer normally

Please let us know how the PC is now, and post a new HijackThis log.
