Hi guys
I've just fitted a Liteon 20x DVD rewriter to my Packard Bell computer (which is about 5 years old and using XP Home). The DVD writer is working fine but for some reason I have lost all sound from my desktop speakers - I've checked that the volume controls are up and that the Realtek 97 has no fault. Any suggestions as to what might've happened. Please be gentle - I'm not too au fait with tech stuff.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Make sure that the speakers are plugged in to the correct socket on the PC (usually green). Also, ensure that you do not have mute set.
