my internet connection just stops!!!!

I'm using a hsdpa enabled cellphone as a modem connected via usb, the problem I have is that it only connects at 230.4 kb/s, it goes fine but after receiving about 10.5 mb it just stops but still shows that it is connected. Please help me with this as it is very frustrating because I have to disconnect and reconnect every time and some downloads don't just resume, they start all over again and never finish. I am going to throw this thing out the window and I live on the 17th floor!!!

If it consistently stopping at 10.5 Mb it could be some cap that your service provider puts on the connection.
