The hot plate stirrer is an electronic device that is mostly present in every research laboratory. This economical lab hotplate includes magnetic stirrer for effective work. The magnetic stirrer hot plate is generally used to heat glassware or its contents and allow the heated liquid to be stirred automatically. Recently many new changes are included this device just to make it more advanced and handy. Hot plate stirrer has a dual controller that allow users to adjust the temperature of the hotplate and the stirring speed of the unit. These features make it ideal for light duty laboratory use. The temperature of this device is adjustable up to 250C and reaches its maximum temperature within a second. The hot plate stirrer can boil 500 ml water in 20 minutes at low stirring speed. The magnetic stirrer that is fitted in this device is adjustable from 0 to 1400 rpm and its stirrer is capable of containing up to 500 ml liquid volume. Other than this, there are many values added features are introduced in this device in recent years. The body of hot plate stirrer comes with a Teflon-coated stirring bar and adjustable stand having thermometer holder. The surface area of the aluminum plate is about 118 mm x 118 mm which is large enough to hold the beakers and flasks up to 1000 ml in size. It's supporting stand is adjustable up to the 10" above the hot plate surface. The hot plate stirrer is very simple and easy to use but there are some limitations like it is not designed for continuous use more than 8 hours.
