I am Putting this here because it may be useful to others who have tried to remove Norton >

To remove a Norton application is not just a case of removing via Add and Remove in Windows you need a special tool and this is suppled by Symantec the makers of Norton for free, Norton Removal Tool > Here and you will need to use a Registry cleaner or manually remove any Registry keys and folders / files left over. There are also other Norton tools (I wont post a link to them because in inexperienced hands they can severely damage a Operating System) if you are wanting to remove a Symantec / Norton application please do ask for advice at Free PC Support (Helproom)
