Aloha,
I would greatly appreciatre any advice with regards a very frustrating problem.

Whenever i attempt to save an image from the web using the 'Save Picture As' function to the pictures folder the CPU is taken to 100% for minutes per attempt.
However saving images to the Desktop gives no problems at all.

I am running XP with IE7.

The pictures folder contains 99% JPEG, and a few BITMAPs, there are no stray video files.

Virus checks find nothing in the folder, and the C disk has been recently defragged.

Thanks.

It would help to know what operating system you use (version of Windows) and what file system is on it. Also, do you have a lot of files in the pictures folder? If so, how many?
