HI

I know this question probably not for this forum, but you may be able to help.

I have the app menu from PortableApps.com and have had no problems with it. But have since found better launchers, RocketDock, ObjectDock, Appetizer, just trying them out to see which best suits me.

Now my problem is to do with the shortcuts in objectdock + rocketdock. In the Portable Apps Menu (PAM) it sets all apps to launch from any portable device no matter what the drive letter. In rocket/object dock the shortcuts are lost as are the links to icons if used on another PC. Though RD is portable and self contained, I think, OD isn't. I think the settings for OD are all that's required for moving it but this only makes it semi portable.

All I wanted to know is can I put something before the path to an app instead of the drive letter so RD can be portable and keep its shortcut links + images?

EG. my path to rocketdock is D:\RocketDock

Is there a way to dispense with the drive letter so when I plug my USB Drive into my laptop, a friends PC or wherever, it still functions properly?

Iread that you can put something like - %CUSTOM_DRIVE%:\RocketDock but can't quite remember what exactly I need to put. If this is correct would it work with any shortcut?

Thanks

Scott

I hope I made it clear?
