That's a very nice system Cat-tranz! I'm jealous!

I'm on the road a lot, and between places at the moment. Life isn't simple is it? lol

So, at the moment, I'm on an Acer Apsire 4720z Laptop with Vista Home Premium x64. It doesn the job for what I need Smile

I've got about half a dozen PCs in storage as well of various specs. I'm getting used to the laptop now though Surprised

Nice processor Cat-tranz!

I bought an Advent PC for £450 simply because it had the Q6600 in it. Runs at 2.4ghz standard but I have it overclocked to 2.9ghz and its stable. Will go to 3.1ghz before the memory starts to throw errors. BIOS doesn't allow changes so I did it with FSB only.

Still 2.9ghz quad core not bad for £450. Slapped an Nvidia 9600GT in there too.

Might upgrade the memory from 3Gb. There is only one slot left so I may replace the exisitng 667mhz stuff with 800mhz.

Cooling is fine. Max TCase temp for this processor is 71 celcius. Highest core temp (usually a few degrees lower than TCase temp) I saw was 63 but after repositioning the machine slightly (intake fan was slightly obstructed) the highest temps dropped to 60 even when running all 4 cores at 100% for an hour an a half. It will go a degree or two higher than that if left switched on for 48 hours.

These processors are awesome for overclocking.
