I've a Dell Inspirion 1525 and am having trouble with the mouse in explorer.

I can move with the touchpad and can on occasions double click to open a new window, but I can't click through to links shown, or highlight text boxes to enter anything on webforms for example.

I've managed to run checks from the dell site, which seems to show no errors but doesn't specifically mention the touchpad.

Any help gratefully accepted.

thanks

Confused

You may need to install the touchpad drivers. Are you clicking with the button, or by tapping the touchpad? Try doing it the other way, does that make a difference?

Does a USB mouse have the same problem? Also, do you get the same problem in Safe Mode?
