HI,

Does anyone know how to remove the CD bit from the free Bruno pendrive that the news of the world handed out on sunday the fifth of june 2009?

I have tried myself but it is read only.

This is getting increasingly annoying because every time I plug the pendrive into a PC it opens up with the bruno website, on Tuesday i ended up getting a ticking of in ICT because of this. It's also annoying my dad because he uses it to carry PowerPoints to conferences, lectures etc and it keeps coming up

Formatting: Didn't work.
Using McAfee shredder tool: Didn't work
Just manually deleting it: didn't work.

The pendrive is 128 mb in FAT format.

Thanks in advance,

Milo N[/list]

Is it really worth the effort given how cheap flash drives are these days?

A fair comment really, you can get a 2Gb flash drive for under a fiver and this will have 16 times the capacity of the 128mb one that was given away free.

More to the point though, these flash drives were given as an advertising medium - they are supposed to go to that website. They are cleverly done to prevent you from stopping this. Whilst it may be possible to work round this, it is not worth the time to figure it out.
