I have this rundll32.exe appearing in my taskmanager

i have run hijackthis and was hoping soomone can help in solving this issue

i run win xp home

I don't see much out of the ordinary there, except you appear to have software running for both Matrox and nVidia graphics cards - do you have both? If not, you should uninstall the software for the one you don't have.

Rundll32.exe running is not in itself a problem. This is a standard Windows file required for running DLL files. Depending on what DLL file it is running as to whether there is a problem or not. From the HijackThis log I don't immediately see anything to be concerned about. Do you have a problem, or are you just curious as to what this file is?

i wasnt sure if the rundll32.exe was a virus or not but if u say that its a microsoft prog then i have nothing to worry about

It is a Microsoft program, and is part of Windows, however it can be used by viruses to run. Looking at your HijackThis log, I can't see any evidence of anything malicious.
