Seagate has lost a law suit that could cost it millions. The company is looking to offer 5% refunds to anyone who has purchased a Seagate hard drive in the past 6 years. This 5% reflects the difference between the actual hard drive size and that reported by operating systems. Seagate has always termed 1BK to be 1000 bytes instead of the norm of 1024 bytes, leading to the discrepancy.

Well, wrong is wrong but, these intelligent folks who sued
should have been smart enough to know to start with.
When I read that I thought of the company,good old Seagate
and all they could do was------------->
