I keep getting "security settings prohibit running activex controls on this page" message when trying to display e-mails.

How can I correct this ?

Hi, Assuming that you are using Microsoft Internet Explorer and that you are referring to accessing your email through a web browser.
ActiveX controls are used to provide advanced content on some web pages, but can also be harmful if let loose from dodgy web sites. Threrefore you will need to add the site that you are using for your emails to the trusted site list. To do this,
Arrow Click on Tools>Internet Options
Arrow Select the security tab.
Arrow Select the Trusted sites icon at the top
Arrow Add your webmail site. e.g. https://webmail.someisp.com
Arrow Click OK to save and close dialogue boxes.

Hope this helps.

If you are using Windows XP, an upgrade to IE7 might be useful as it is a bit more helpful when it encounters ActiveX.

At the bottom of the box where you enter trusted sites, there is a check box which by default is checked that only allows you to add https sites into the list. If you need to add an http site in, uncheck the box.
