Can I download the generic drivers on one computer (currently equipped with Windows XP), copy them to a disk and then install on the 98SE equipped computer?
Thank you for your help

Yes. Although you can't copy them to a flash drive as the Windows 98 system will not be able to read it until after the drivers are installed.

I used the Generic USB driver at

http://www.wintricks.it/download/wtgenusb.zip

It, evidently, is designed using Lexar as a model, however it should work with far more devices.

The site is Italian, however Google will translate.

Double-click the zip file, plug the USB drive in, follow the install procedure to install.

This driver works 100% on Windows 98 and new Lexar drives sold as "Windows XP and Vista" only. I have a 2GB and 8GB Lexar JumpDrive.

I have forwarded this information to Lexar.
