Hi there

I have a mini IBM ThinkPad running Windows 98 SE. At present the only way to move files on and off the machine is via an external floppy drive. I want to get it to recognise at least a small capacity memory stick so that it can be of some use - its very small and runs pretty quickly!

I have tried 2 different drivers from this page: http://www.technical-assistance.co.uk/kb/win98se-usb-mass-storage-drivers.php

33e and 24e, but each time i try to install the driver I hit this message:

(name and place of the file) is not a valid Win32 application.

Any ideas would be much appreciated!!

Thanks

I don't think there have been other reports of a similar problem with those files, so I would suggest the problem is either a viral problem on your machine, or a bad internet connection corrupting the downloads

just a further thought on that - with a machine of that age it could well be due to bad sectors on a failing hard drive
