I have a kingston Drive. It has been affected by virus and it asked to format but i removed it from PC without format the drive. after that it can't access. the green indicator is lighting continuously when i insert it. please can any one help me to solve this problem?

first, download and install this tool from Panda
http://download.cnet.com/Panda-USB-Vaccine/3000-2239_4-10909938.html?part=dl-55967&subj=dl&tag=button
It will reduce the chances of the virus spreading to your machine
then plug in the pen drive and see if it is recognised. If it is, then try scanning with your AV software. If it still has problems, then it probably does need reformatting - or may be faulty
Best option may simply be to replace it: they are cheap items, prone to failure and should basically be treated as disposable |

| Hi friend thanks for your reply. But it not recognize. i had some important data on that. the light only blinking. is there any way to get them? |

use USBdeview http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/usb_devices_view.html to uninstall any/all USB devices, then restart the machine, then plug in the pen drive and see what happens
If it is still not recognised, then the drive is probably faulty |
