well unfortunatly this pc came vista build.. purty n all but has massive buggage...
i thought it was my cable modem or router
id come back to my pc after 5 hours or so to find that it dc'ed but the others on my network were not..... id reset the modem and router .. but that wouldnt always fix it
i even setup a macro to wave my cursor around a bit...
so.. im thinking that vista must have some timeout security feature... so if any1 knows which direction to point me in or a patch i can install.. plz lemme know.. thank u
and btw.. this happens most often when i have a mmorpg running idle |

Vista shouldn't time out the network. Are you using a laptop?
Also, is this hard wired to the network, or wireless? _________________ "Microsoft programs are generally bug-free. You could try going to the network adapter properties in Device Manager, select the Power Management tab and remove the tick from Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power. _________________ "Microsoft programs are generally bug-free.
