Hi Kate,
Basically Windows 2000 was aimed at the business market and didn't get into the home market. Popular opinion is that Microsoft rushed out ME as a home system because home users wanted an upgrade which was one of the reasons that ME is so unreliable.

Home

    DOS
    Windows 2
    Windows 3/3.1
    Windows 95
    Windows 98
    Windows ME
    Windows XP Home
    Windows Vista Utlimate/Home Premium/Home Basic

Business
    DOS
    Windows 2
    Windows for Workgroups 3.11
    Windows NT 3.5
    Windows NT 4.0
    Windows 2000
    Windows XP Professional
    Windows Vista Business/Enterprise

Thank you so much for clarifying. Very Happy I was confusing business and home packages.

I need to upgrade my laptop, which is ME, so that is why I was asking.
