I am buying a laptop and i am undecided between

WCACER1 Acer Laptop

AMD Turion 64x2 Dual Core Processor
Windows ? XP Media Centre Edition, Sound Blaster Pro, MS Works
1024 Mb of RAM memory
120Gb HDD
8x DVD-Super Multi double-layer drive
15.4? high-brightness screen
WiFi Enabled
Radeon ? X1300 graphics 128 Mb
Touchpad & 2.1 speakers
6-1 Card Reader & 3 USB Ports

i don't know anything about processors and stuff so i want to know which is the best spec out of these two? Please.

Get the Acer one. Acer laptops are miles better value for money than HP. Also AMD processors rock, and if you want to do gaming the Radeon graphics will be better than the Intel one.

Mind you I'd be happy with either, they are both awesome spec machines. Mr. Green

It's 6 of one and half a dozen of the other. They are both very good spec machines, both from fairly respectable companies. I doubt you'd be disappointed with either.

Like Steve says, the Acer one is probably a slightly better specification. However, if you look more closely at the spec, you'll probably find that the HP has a longer battery life and weighs less. The HP one will probably be slightly sturdier build also. It all depends what you want out of a laptop really.
