Hi,
I'm not that good when it comes computer/windows. I try to explain my problem (bad english, Sorry!) Today i tried to install SmartFTP on my computer, But after prepairing installation, it says "An error occured installing the package. Windows installer returned '1601'."

I just wanted to know what Windows installer is & how can i repair it? Please i must download SmartFTP & i dont understand how i can do that now...

Try doing the following:
Arrow Click on Start, then Run
Arrow Type in cmd and press Enter
Arrow In the new window that comes in, type in msiexec /unregister and press Enter
Arrow Then type in msiexec /regserver and press Enter
Arrow Then type in exit and press Enter
Arrow Now try reinstalling the application.
