please help me with this issue
i have windows vista o.s
bt home hub wireless network with new improved hub
xbox360 with wirless modem

all three of these devices are working correctly and have internet connection.

I am trying to configure windows media centre extender to my 360.

when i turn windows media centre on, on my 360 my vista media centre aknowladges that 360 version is on, and asks me if i would like to configure it.

I select yes and the vista version goes through the automated checklist until it comes to sending extender settings to the device.
At this piont i get a message on my 360 saying downloading at the exact time this happens my laptop completly crashes forcing a hard restart.

This is not a firewall issue as i have disabled this to test and have enabled upnp.
i cannot think what the issue could be and hope that somebody can help.

Although not familiar with the 360, it sounds as if the PC isn't getting the response that it expects from the Xbox which causes it to crash. Are there any firmware updates for the XBox you could download?

A bit of digging on the internet has thrown up some issues with wireless network cards. Clicky Interestingly that one was using a 802.11n card and I see that the new home hub uses 802.11n. Are you able to try with both the PC and Xbox plugged into the hub by Cat5?
