I've installed a wireless network adapter on my parents computer so they can use broadband from my wireless router/box. It appears to be working ok, it receives the signal and I can get online but it flashes between working and not working every 3 secs because the computer says the LAN cable is disconnected but its not a cable connection its a wireless one. What I have I got wrong? Bound to be people on here better with these things than me so thanks in advance of any help.

What version of Windows are you using? Also, what wi-fi card and router are you using? Are you letting Windows control the wi-fi connection, or software that came with the card?

After a bit of tinkering I got it working. It wouldnt recognise the encryption on the secured network but putting the WEP code in manually has sorted it
