I found this link from the Kingston site. I selected nusb32e.exe for a Windows 98 SE Dell laptop. As it started to execute, it asked if I wanted to run nusb32r.exe. I did not realize this was a Russian version, and was not able to bail out in time. Bottom line is it executed and now my task bar and start menu are in Russian, along with various other messages and I can't figure out how to correct this. I have tried running nusb32e.exe , but now am getting a message that it is not correct for this computer, so won't run. Any help would be appreciated. The good news is the memory stick works fine in this computer. I just can't read things like log off, shut down, etc. I have not tried running 33, as the stick works okay, and I don't want to mess that up. Thanks.

It shouldn't install on the incorrect version. Try downloading nusb33e.exe and installing that. If that doesn't work, open nusb33e.exe with Winzip or similar and replace your User.exe with the User.exe in nusb33e.exe

I was not able to open the .exe with pkzip or others, so grabbed a user.exe from another old laptop with 98SE. I went through some DOS gymnastics to rename files and replace user.exe. I still had the Russian start menu stuff. Should I have tried user.dat, or some other file? Thanks.

WinRar will open the file.

You will also need to replace user32.dll check out this thread for more information.
